Reflash OS
« on: January 06, 2010, 06:13:13 PM »
Can anyone help me with some instructions as far as reflashing the OS.  I've seen the tools and images on the samsung site, but the only manual/instructions are in Korean.

Thanks ahead of time.

You need to create a bootable USB stick. Then copy from samsunglfd.com the appropriate SFI files. Do you know how to do this?

Have not done it before on one of the LFDs.  I've seen the tool on their website as well as the latest sfi file.  Does it have to be a USB stick or could it be an external hard drive?

Hi All,

let's say I'm close to an acceptable status of my display....

can (and if so, how) I create a .sfi to be stored in PXE server?

Thanks,
Andrea

Absolutely, yes. The idea is to get your screen to a desired level with all codecs, viewers etc and then use a PXE server to store your new image.

I don't use PXE, but it did work perfectly well when I evluated it.
