Unstable volume levels - 320MXn-2 and others (fairly urgent)
« on: September 25, 2013, 01:31:24 PM »
Hi there, below is TL:DR with the questions  ;)

We've deployed about 40 LFD-s on disjoint gas-stations in my country and use them as online radio recievers.
The issue here is that some monitors on their behalf start getting wobbling volume, or start playing very very silently.

The only workaround for now is the plain old restart, but hey 40 machines mean lots of restarts.
We discovered also that the MagicInfo volume control doesn't affect the AUDIO OUT, which is controlled by the Windows Sound mixer O.o
And audio out is the place where you connect the PA of the gas-stations...

We got identical setups on the stations BUT at some, if you move the general volume slider
(Realtek HDA HDMI Out - master volume) above 12-15% the people start freaking out, because it is loud as hell.
On other stations - at 100% is barely audible.

We got complaints about the last thing and I still don't know how to fix 'em.

I'm still searching which slider does also affect the audio out.

Lastly, we have another issue, where the LFD is connected via RCA plugs to the PA on the station, yet it plays on its own speakers ONLY.
Seriously, wtf???  :o  :o

SO: TL:DR
Varying volume levels, starting at random intervals. How to fix that?
How to control remotely the volume of the Audio Out (RCA) connectors on more than one LFD at a time?
:o :o

THANKS!

What model  of TV are you using? And wouldn't you use the audio out mini-jack, not the RCA?

Whoops sorry, saw that you had the model number in the title.
