Saving Changes Failed
« on: April 02, 2013, 03:49:30 PM »
Hi Everyone! I've searched all over the internet for an answer to this and found nothing.  I am hoping someone here has had a similar experience.

When updating server information (or in fact any information) on the client I immediately receive the response "Server : Saving changes failed." when clicking apply.

This will happen no matter what setting I try to change with a slightly different heading such as "Admin :" or "Tunneling Server :" but the response is always Saving Changes Failed.  I've attached an example screenshot of the error.

As you can see, if I cannot save the server IP I cannot run the client from the Server and the entire system becomes a paperweight.  The system is a brand new UE46A with a SBB (Set top box) and I am running MagicInfo Premium-I client/server.  I purchased 2 units, the first one I set up worked perfectly, this unit gives me an error each time I try to set any configuration.

Please help!  I've contacted Samsung three different times using their "Contact Us" feature because they do not advertise a support number in the US.  I have not received a single response back from Samsung on this issue.  I am hoping there is an easy way to repair this issue.

Thanks!
Chris

Try pressing F8 during the boot process and do a system restore or factory reset, this will put the system into a known hopefully good condition and could well fix this problem.

It has been so long (almost a year) that I had forgotten this post existed.  After 2-3 weeks of trying to contact Samsung, I finally got through to someone and they sent a USB key to rebuild the system.
