Client Monitors not keeping proper Schedule...
« on: November 25, 2011, 08:28:18 PM »
Hi all,
We have three client monitors installed in early September... they were working fine for about two months, keeping their schedule, etc...  for the month of November, since loading new media, they don’t keep their schedules at all.
Current schedule is to come on line at 8am and shut down at 8pm, 7 days a week.  They are coming on at various times mid day, 11am, 12:30 and 1pm.  Can’t seem to figure out why.
Our programmer loads the schedule via laptop and then disconnected laptop from the system.  And as stated, in September and October the schedule ran perfect.  Now with the new schedule problem, we have noticed that when the programmer comes in and plugs his laptop into the network and opens MagicInfo Pro program (without reloading the schedule, just connecting), the monitors come to life running their program.  Now we are wondering if the server computer needs to be connected to the network and running the program all the time.  But if so, why did it work without it for the two months prior?
Any insight?

Thank you.

make sure that your publication is not asking to push the screen streaming, which could explain the need for a PC, otherwise I suggest you uninstall the client and reinstall the screen, we found that it solves many a problem.

Hi

quiet old post but maybe you still  *CENSORED*  this issue. We also were facing some similar problems when we got two of these screens, whatever model it is. Just a hint, have you made sure that the local timezone and time itself is set correct on the monitors? In our case the time itself was in sync but the time zone wasn't set accurately and this seems to result in dividing by zero for Samsung. Don't do that or you'll kill the rain forest.

Cheers from Germany
