Problems with Office-files again..
« on: September 30, 2011, 03:32:04 PM »
Like many other, I got problems to view Office-files on my client. When I create the screen and try to preview, the file will not show up. It only preview a blank box, and Word/PP etc opens up and shows the file. I run the latest version of server and client - and Office 2007 package. Any solutions?

Try powerpoint / word / excel viewers 2003.

I tried, but same problem..

Is it on the screen? or on the server, preview mode?
1) restore OS on the screen to original factory Os
2) install latest MIP client which is 3102.4
3) install MS Powerpoint Viewer 2003 or 2007.
Use latest MIP server to create screen with ppt presentation. and publish to the screen.
This will work for 100%.

I have given up on trying to get Powerpoint to work properly.  I have spent hundreds of hours trying to fix it and have contacted Samsung Support but they were unable to sort it.
I now have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 which includes Powerpoint.  This version includes a Save as "Windows Media Video".  This is a dream.  Since saving the files as video files I have had no problems at all.  I highly recommend it.

Thanks, Nolly - that was the best help I've got here. It works like a dream with video format.

I'm planning on upgrading my desktop/client to Office 2010 from 2007. Do I need to upgrade my Office/powerpoint viewer 2007 to 2010 in the flat screen as well?

Thank you in advance for your help!
