Snow Displayed on Some Screens in Videowall
« on: July 10, 2011, 09:49:13 PM »
Hi there, any suggestions to resolve this weird problem?

MagicInfo-I 1005.5, videowall (6 screens : 3 horizontals x 2 verticals) and chained them with DVI to build a videowall.

It can "extend" a DVI signal or an HDMI signal through the 6 screens.

Runs perfect for an hour, then only the screen witch got the signal input shows the part of the picture, and the others are showing snow.

Tried several test with other sources, placed the input onto another screen, but each time is the same problem: only the screen which got the input signal shows his part, the others shows snow.

One thing maybe interesting : the snow appears to be a part of a videowall; the snow that appears on each screen, is a part of a signal, it's enlarged.

The input (DVI or HDMI) perfectly show on the screen which receive the input signal, the others are showing snow (but receive something, because, we you put the signal on the first screen all the screens switch on, if you cut it, all the screens switch off).

...Thanks for any suggestions :)

This issue is coused by HDCP. DVI repeater builtin Samsung screens does not suport HDCP.
Remove HDCP from source or use DVI splitter with HDCP support.
