Title: Samsung SBB-D16CX2/ZA set back box
Post by: patrickerdner on April 03, 2014, 05:11:25 PM
Setting up a new set back box (SBB-c) and an odd problem after reboot.

It is now coming up to the Windows XP logon screen and wants a username and password.

Basically I am now locked out of the SBB unit.

Samsung support kept telling me the password is empty or 000000. I proved this incorrect by using a 2nd SBB-c and attempting to change the Administrator password - nothing I tried there would work either.

Does anyone know what the default Administrator passwords on these units are?

I also have 3 more SBB units that I have installed that are working fine. When I try to RDP to those as well the Administrator account password is unknown and Samsungs suggestion of blank or 000000 also does not work on those.

old SBB & TV's with built in computers: password was 000000

new SBB units: password is ssMagicInfo!

someone finally got back to my reseller with the proper info since tech support had no idea.
