Title: Flash movies with links to external rss feeds
Post by: christie on August 20, 2010, 01:26:46 PM
I have created a flash movie that i use to display an RSS feed in a more "appealing" way than the default way Magic Info displays RSS feeds. The problem is this feed doesn't load on the client machines although it works fine on the server and displays perfectly when I view the screen while building it.

The flash movie grabs an externally hosted RSS feed from the BBC. Anyone know why this isn't working? Could it be a security setting on the embedded XP? The screens do have internet access

Hi, it could be the security settings in the browser of the client-something like allowing sites to access different domains.

Does it work on the client outside of magicinfopro if you navigate to the url using IE on the client?

Or it could be the firewall settings on the client-try turning it off.

Does the feed need Flash 10 and you need to update IE and commit the change?

Do you need to enable Flash to store temporary data on the client pc?

If it works on other machines I would expect it to be one of the above..
