Howdy,
Our screens seem to ignore the timers settings, I have them set to go off at 530 and on at 720. I have been in early this week and noticed they are on. After checking CCTV they are on throughout the night.
I have tried to play the the server but it seems that my tests are not shutting down the screens either.
Help would be appreciated.
thanks

Hi
I would suggest going onto the tv's and ensuring that the setting for energy saving and shutdown etc are switched off
so as they do not conflict with Magicinfo and try again.
its something i came across and was posted in this forum a few years ago so not sure if this issue is still affecting users.
Thanks
Ewan

Thanks Ewan, all powersaving features are alread off.
Just to check what i am doing is correct.
On remote device management > Time > Tick timer 1 >
Set on time status to 'on' hour '7' minute '20' 'AM'
Set off time status to 'off' blah blah
Source to 'Magic Info' (?????)
Holiday 'Apply both' (?????)
have set to every day for now (want weekdays only)
Apply
tick all screens
Apply All
but this does nothing
thanks

Check the time on the panel itself is correct as I understand this what controls the on/off timer not the screen pc.
Also check the screen pc clock is correct and the server pc time is correct especially after daylight saving change.
On our version of mip the holiday setting etc. does not function, just the basic on/off time and dates.
If you still cant get it to work there is an alternative method of inserting a 'blank' period into the schedule that will turn the actual lcd panel off for that period of time but leave the screen pc running, there is some info about that somewhere on here, look for 'blank screen' or something similar..

haha i think you are correct. unfortunatly looks like my predecessor set the passwords to something nonstandard (tried 1111, 9999, 1234 etc)

Default is 0000 I think..
Not at work today but you can unlock the screens from the management interface, it's in there but for the life of me I can't remember what it's under, might be security..
Back at work on Monday, let me know if you are still stuck ;D ;D ;D

yeah screens unlock normally using 0000 or
go into MDC select Maintenance then to the far right switch safety lock off.
