I have a problem getting my Server started.

My configuration:

Magic Info-I Advanced Edition Server
V1.1 Build M-MIIXWWS-1010.0.

PostgreSQL version 8.3 (also tryed Version 9 before)

running on a Windows XP Professional SP3, what should work according to the system requirements.

My problem:
The installation of the server software was fine. After the restart i want to start the server by open the Server Properties and push "start" in the General Tab.
Then the "Apache Service Manager" (Quote:) "is attempting to start the folowing service: MagicInfo-I Server"

The progress stops in the half, the window closes and nothing happens.
In the server properties the Status ist still "Stopped".



Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is there a service missing of the PostgreSQL?
When i start the PostgreSQL server it says the sevice is already started.

try to uninstall all Java on your machine before installing server

I agree, the best way forward is to clean up all, get the new versions and start from the beginning.

So it would be best to unistall JAVA and the MagicInfo I Premium server AND Postgre SQL.

You need to remove everything including the user account postgres from your control panel AND delete JAVA and Postgre Folders from the Program Files directory.

It worked for me.
