Hi everyone,
is it possible to reduce communication intervals from the displays to the server?
After examining my firewall logs, I saw hundreds of thousand connections from my displays in just a few weeks.
We are using MagicInfo Server V3.0 Build NA-MIILS-3003.3 with display types like 'LITE_DB40D'
Which parameters do I need to tweek?
greetings
Tim

Hi Tim,
Yes, it is!
Sign in as with administrative privileges for device management (Administrator or Device Manager) and select "Device" for Lite devices -> "Setup" -> select check box for one/more/all devices -> "Edit".
In device setup frame adjust values for "Triggering Interval" and "Monitoring Interval" and hit "Save".
Regards,
Ivan

Ivan,
thanks your help! Sad but true: changing the values doesn't do anything. I set the Trigger Interval to 60 secs..

Tim,
From this log excerpt it is not clear whether requests are coming from one or multiple displays. I would need more information how many displays you have and how are they configured. Can you trace requests from source IP?

in fact the Display "192.168.32.99" is communicating with the MI Server "192.168.11.33"
so every single line is the same Display :(
