Title: Postgres + Magic Info Server = This page can’t be displayed
Post by: MichalPL on June 07, 2018, 08:14:50 AM
Hello signagehelp,
Greetings from Poland.

I'm having issues with my MagicInfo installation.

Host Windows 7 Enterprise x64
Postgres postgresql-9.6.9-1-windows-x64 (also tried postgresql-9.3.8-1-windows-x64&postgresql-10.4-1-windows-x64)
MagicInfo Server 4101.8 Setup

I did the installation using MagicInfo_Server_QSG_Eng_Rev.1.2_160722.

Services MagicInfoPremium&postgressql-x64-9-6 are running ) Log on as is Local sys account for MagicInfo and Network Service account on postgres service.

I get: This page can’t be displayed message

•Make sure the web address http://10.134.0.133:7001 is correct.
•Look for the page with your search engine.
•Refresh the page in a few minutes.

when browsing http://10.134.0.133:7001/MagicInfo in IE

and
This site can’t be reached
10.134.0.133 refused to connect.
Search Google for 134 133 7001 MagicInfo
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
in Chrome

Tried to install it on 2nd PC but the result was the same.

Could I ask for suggestion what to check to establish the connection?

Dear MichalPL,

Are you sure your firewall is open for the right ports (7001 and 7002)?
Here is an overview of port MagicInfo uses.

Kind regards,
Pepijn.

Hello Pepijn,

Do you mean if Windows Firewall ports (on the Windows Server 2012 hosting MagicInfo), are opened, right?

Thanks,
Juan

Juan,

I mean within your network, possible you need to adjust some ports to let MagicInfo communicated.

Kind regards,
Pepijn.

Hello Michal, did you find a solution for your "This page can’t be displayed " issue?

Thanks,

Hi yes with help of Samsung support. We reinstalled both Postgres and MagicInfo (v9.5&6.0)

We didn't change the default port 5432 for Postgres to 7001. And it started to work.
