Sorry i didn't explain properly, no i meant in the somewhat sparce instructions available they said,
You can log into the server software as administrator or at a user level of which you can edit the access rights , presumably so an ordinary user cannot go into certain parts such as screen controls etc, however i can only see a way to elevate a user login to administrator or down to user profile, no way to select for a profile which parts can be accessed, am i missing it somewhere?

do you mean user rights in relation to the system logging in automatically without being prompted by a login box?

if so In order to get the embedded xp to login automatically certain settings need to be added to the regedit
(please see below some may not apply to you tho!)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultUserName to someUser; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultPassword to somePassword; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\DefaultDomainName to someDomain; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\AutoAdminLogon to 1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\CachePrimaryDomain to someDomain

sorry missread that.

You mean Magicinfo user rights I heard about this when we first got the software my supplier advised me against this
as the person logged in would be the most recent update to the screens and could cause issues im unsure what setting would be available.

will see if we had anything sent to us when we first got Magicinfo pro and fwd it on to here for you if i find anything.
