Did you find any solution?  :( At my organization I was testing the fw upgrade and now I have the exact same issue after upgrading the firmware of a QM43R Test device from "T-KTM2ELAKUC-2160.6 - T-KTM2ELAKUS-1045" to "T-KTM2ELAKUC-2440.1 - T-KTM2ELAKUS-1054 - T-NVT18SWWS-1010"  :-\ :-X :'(

I am still able to manage it (publish content/schedule, etc...) and Screen Capture also works fine, but no remote control at all.

In rm_wsrm.log I have the very same error at RMServer connection attempt:

We have different uses of our devices during different events.
Sometimes we need to have the devices grouped differently to show our content on the right screen.
ex.  1-5 devices in Group A and 6-10 devices in Group B on Event 1 but 1,3,5,7,9 devices in Group X and devices 2,4,6,8,10 in Group Y on Event 2.
How can I achieve this easily if I don't want to move devices to a different group each time?

MagicInfo-I Premium / Re: Windows Install Cant find postgres db
« Last post by ontech on July 08, 2024, 10:41:24 AM »
All I want to do is copy files from my PC to Samsung displays over the network, but it seems like I need to use MagicInfo to do this....?   I installed PostgreSQL 12.12 and Magicinfo v9 on my laptop.  MagicInfo v9 installs fails and it says it cant find the Postgres db.   I verified the db is installed and running.   I cant find any help for this error anywhere.  Wondering if someone can help.

We current just have static displays but it would be cool if I could get something more dynamic running.  Thanks

did you change the port? it must be 5432 for magicinfo

Hi Michael and WP_User,

Indeed for Magicinfo V9 you at least need PostgreSQL V9.6 or V12.

You can create a backup from your current DB, and remove the current PostgreSQL installation. Then install V9.6 or V12 and import the backup in here again.

Samsung also has some info available on their manual.

MagicInfo VideoWall / Re: Help needed with videowall file formats
« Last post by Pepijn on June 25, 2024, 02:27:27 PM »
All,

For the record the videowall application is already end of its life, this is now built into Magicinfo itself.
I normally advise starting with HD resolution with an FSP of 25 for all your video files.
These settings can change per screen type.
As for my understanding, these formats are supported: mp4, mpg, mpeg

In regards of a video wall solution indeed play a bit with the resolution of what looks best on your specific video wall set-up.

I hope this additional information is helpful.

Kinde regards, Pepijn.

Hi Nvergara,

If you have a look at the default specs from Samsung.
https://docs.samsungvx.com/docs/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=60034271
Your processor is a bit low I think, but the default specs are based on a system with approx 500 screen connections.

It is also possible to separate the two systems Magicinfo and database, you can connect Magicinfo to the right database in the config.properties file.

Kind regards, Pepijn.
