Title: How to block USB ports od Samsung LCDs.
Post by: LCJ on April 12, 2013, 07:36:45 AM
Hello everyone!
I am looking for solution to block usb port on LCDs like Samsung 400uxn-3. Now everyone is able to plug devices to usb ports. Due to security reasons it must be blocked but the problem is that MagicInfo Premium does not provide this funktionality. Windows Embedded Standard is also very limited when it comes to registry modification. Any idea?

If you have lots of monitors - it will take a bit of time, but

you can disable the usb controller via the device manager

Haven't done it myself, but here are the steps:

Log on to a monitor (remote desktop or vnc)
right click Computer, then Properties
go to Hardware tab, then click device manager

Fiddle around with the usb controller subtree and post results
