Hi, usually very dim screens is a hardware failure. You have to contact an authorized service center for diagnostics and repair.
If screen have less than 3 years, it is covered by the warranty
If screen have more than 3 years, buy new one.

Hi, go to MagicInfo Server -> Device -> Notifications. There you can see if there is some error, problems etc.
If there is no notifications and no errors, it is possible that you have a demo license that get expired.
In case that you use 7002 port as ppjin comented, for communication with new S7 and up, you need to replace TLS key file and modify setup file. It is not a user friendly procedure.

MagicInfo / Re: Stream to Displays from a Laptop on the Local Network

S3 screens and up in premium mode can handle Multicast streams. In this case you can use and HDMI to IP encoder capable of multicast streaming.

In Magic Info go to Content->New-> Streaming and add a multicast ip and port you set up in the streamer.
This is the format   udp://239.x.x.x:8000 or rtp://239.x.x.x:8000
8000 is the port, it is tested and it works.

Then go to schedule and publish just created streaming content. If screens have some content, you can modify current schedule and add additional Ad channel for streaming.

MagicInfo Lite / I do not see the unapproved list in server
« Last post by fac magic on July 31, 2023, 08:39:01 PM »
Hi All,

I recently was handed my organization's MagicInfo duties. My issue is connecting a new device to the server. I setup the new TV to point to our server and I got the message that it is connected and adjusted the time. However when I open the server, I do not see the unapproved device, in fact there is no unapproved section in my device list. I am an administrator. The attachment is my device list with no unapproved devices anywhere. any help will be appreciated :D

IT found the solution: the firewall couldn't decrypt the encrypted traffic because the self signing certificates and blocked it. Admin made a new rule for MagicInfo traffic and it's working.

Dear frfmanager,

Please make sure your system meets the requirements from Samsung, please note the Windows version.
I have seen strange issues arise when it is not complete.

Kind regards, Pepijn.

Daer frfmanager and Ppierre61,

First off my apologies for the late reply, I just noticed your messages back here Ppierre61.
In your case, it really seems like an issue on the screen itself. Perhaps a firmware update or a factory reset would help. If you need assistance you can try to find a local distributor, perhaps you still have a warranty on your screens.

@frfmanager, From Magicinfo you create a schedule on the brightness level and share this to your screen. Perhaps someone has shared this with your screen and you need Magicinfo to reset or adjust it. Perhaps a factory reset will also reset these settings.

Kind regards, Pepijn.

MagicInfo-I Premium / Windows Install Cant find postgres db
« Last post by frfmanager on July 13, 2023, 03:24:45 AM »
All I want to do is copy files from my PC to Samsung displays over the network, but it seems like I need to use MagicInfo to do this....?   I installed PostgreSQL 12.12 and Magicinfo v9 on my laptop.  MagicInfo v9 installs fails and it says it cant find the Postgres db.   I verified the db is installed and running.   I cant find any help for this error anywhere.  Wondering if someone can help.

We current just have static displays but it would be cool if I could get something more dynamic running.  Thanks

I have 3 displays and they seem to dim out randomly.  I havent been able to figure out why yet.  I am assuming its a settings issue or a hardware problem.  I am not sure old they are.  They are Samsung DM48D.  I dont use MagicInfo, I am trying to get it started though

Dear Pepijn
I already tested the connection and it doesn't seem to be the issue,
I'm guessing the device got its network card malfunctioning or something, cause it's the only device that's having issues in any network it is in.
Thank you for your reply, unfortunately for me, it doesn't solve the problem
thanks again anyways!
i think i'll use this device locally using a pendrive to pass the information i need.
unless anyone else can think of something else hehe.
Best regards
