MagicInfo-I / Re: Downgrade firmware on DB48E display

Indeed it is not recommended to roll back on firmware.

To use a USB drive it needs to be formatted at FAT32
You need to place the two files (I believe the .bem and the info text file) in the root of your drive.

Kind regards,

I am running a local website which I can display on the TVs using the Web URL content. This works fine.

However, I'm trying to display a video (using HTML5, HLS format, videoJS) and this does not work, the video never loads.

The website runs fine when executing locally in the same network, just not on the TVs. Any idea what could be going on?
MagicInfo / Display website in local network

Hi everyone

I have a Magic Info server running with several TVs connected. I'd like to show content from a website hosted in the same network as the TVs, so that I can access it via the internal IP address eg:

When checking this website from a computer connected to the same network, I can see the site with all its functionality correctly. However, when displaying the same website on the TVs, the content does not work. It looks like Javascript is not running since the HTML is loading correctly (I can see things on the screen, but not the interactivity)

Does anyone know how to debug this? I can't access the console/logs on the MagicInfo browser, which makes things hard to understand.

Technically it is possible to downgrade the firmware on the screen, but with special firmware and special procedure.
Personally I donĀ“t recommend to do it.
Instead check the issue you have, any screen can be setted up for automatic turn on and off timer, no matter the firmware, unless you have a hardware issue. If the power goes off and time/timer reset to zero, then you have a hardware issue and no firmware will help you.

Additionally your network must be capable to handle synchronization/multicast packets.
MagicInfo VideoWall / Re: Webpage on Videowall

hello ChrisNoble, I guess you made a Videowall with VideoWall layout function in MIS. In this scenario it MI Author content is not compatible with videowalls. To display webpages and dashboards on videowall you can:
1. Buy an external player/PC and re-arrange/reconfigure/reconnect screens
2. Research for profesional data visualization control software for videowalls.

Hello ChuzpZz. I guess in 2014 you used "MagicInfo VideoWall" with "MagicInfo VIdeoWall Author". On that decade, VideoWall Author was able to cut, stich, crop, resize, etc high resolution images for the videowall to look nice.
Current MagicInfo Server have some changes, where you need to use custom made content and sync function, or make additional serial connection from Screen to player and setup in magicinfo to use VideoWall Layout. Some times is not user friendly, but we can offer you a remote support on that.

The visual idea is good, however you had to make more technical research.
There are many ways to make a VideoWalls. Resolution-image quality does not matter on the TV, in depend mainly on the source or signal.

1. The   *CENSORED*  way is using a very nice PC(i7 and up) with a graphic card with 4 HDMI/DP out for 4 TVs or Monitors, however it depend if the videocard driver function to stich monitors as 1. Normally Nvidia cards can do that. In any case you will  *CENSORED*  usage issues on the run.
2. Using simple VideoWall processor. Normally they offer limited configurations like 2x2 and 3x3, same as 1 on the short term you will  *CENSORED*  issues.
3. Signage monitor with VideoWall function. This is a little better since you have less equipment and components to fail, but image quality could be an issue. In this case you can use MagicInfo Server Premium but price will go up.
4. Hire a professional AV Company, like us =)  for full assessment on this project.

Hello it is possible that your QMR screen is damaged. This screen turn on red light automatically (stand by mode) when you connect power cable.
You can use any Samsung's TV remote control to manage most of functions FYR.
