Title: Database does not exist
Post by: Doktor on August 18, 2014, 03:50:03 PM
Hello Everyone

Im doing a first time setup in a PC/hardware reseller where i work.

Im doing a "test" setup on localhost atm to get to grips with the setup and usage of MagicInfo lite.

Im running Windows 7 X64 -

PostgreSQL and magicInfo both installed without errors and i can run the MagicInfo-i Server config tool, which tells me that both service are running and the IP´s (localhost) are configured correctly.

I then try to go to the URL : http://127.0.0.1:7001/MagicInfo/

See attached image for error message.   :'('

Can anybody help me, i have been spending all day trying to get this to work.

could it be a port block issue ?
Or is it simply that postgreSQL havent created the Database? EDIT: This cannot be the case since i can see the databse in the pgAdmin tool for PostgreSQL.

Solved

The srver was running on Windows  7 Home premium.

Installed it today on a 2008 Server R2 and it worked like a charm.

Only issue im having now is not being able to connect to the webserver from within the LAN.

Any ideas on the last part ?

Best Regards David
