Title: Schedule several screens
Post by: lauriercomputer on December 12, 2009, 08:56:44 PM
Hello again!

I've created three 1-minute "screens" that display several slides each. Is there a way that I can schedule these to repeat all day?
As far as I can tell, I'd have to schedule Screen1, Screen2, Screen3 manually over an 8-hour period! There *has* to be a better way... right?

thanks in advance!

Hello,

I am having the same problem here with 5 to 10 5-minute-screens. So far I've found no way in the software it self, but i managed to directly manipulate the database of the software: It's an access database file in the install directory called "mediadb.mdb" with a simple structure in the table Schedule and I successfully copied an changed the entries to fill the day and copy the day to another, but you do need some know-how in access. Always make a copy of the original database file and of course I don't take any responsibilty for messed up configs  ;).

I hope I've some time soon to completly figure out the database structure and write sort of an automatic schedule creater in vb or something, any help would be appreciated.

Hi guys

set the background area time of the main screen file you are building to run for example 9 minutes. Then make your first new area and set it's run time for example 0 to 3 minutes, then make your next screen area and make it start to run at 3 minutes and finish at 6 minutes, then make your next screen area and make it start to run at 6 minutes to nine minutes and so on effectively building up invisible layers one on top of the other.Once you have it set then it will roll around every 9 minutes controlled by the main background setting. Then you schedule it to run for example 8 hours daily/weekly/monthly.

I have attached an example as it's easier to grasp  ;D
