MagicInfo / Database upgrade error

hey all, first time trying to upgrade magicinfo to V9

could not upgrade the db inthe magicinfo seerver installer (db and was are on same box)

when trying to upgrade via http://localhost:8080 as prompted im getting this error

MagicInfo / S10 Player screens not showing in unapproved devices

Hello,

I work as an IT technician in a big company. We have dozens of MI screens, all previous screens have S4 and S6 Players with no issues. Now we got 2 new panels with S10 Players and they're not able to connect to the server. Everything is set as on previous screens, but they won't appear in unapproved devices.

Some details about the screens: Model: QM43B; Model Code: LH43QMBEPGCXEN; S10 Player. Connected via LAN. The firewall on the Windows Server is off and the firewall on the main server is set according to documentation. The date and Time are set correctly. The version of MagicINFO server is 21.1040.2

Tried solutions: Connecting to 4G hotspot, setting the connection to test server
Any other suggestions?

Hey, 8 months later, but still appreciated. Thanks for the tip. I believe all our images are PNG and we are using Lite. So that seems to be the answer. We ONLY use the MagicInfo system and displays once a year at our annual conference, so I will try to remember this in December!

Hi, it is possible that the screen is already added/approved in MIS. In the screen, go and play network content. press status button on the remote and you will see current status of the screen if it is unaprooved or connected.

Hi, Magicinfo only allows you to add/activate 1 type of license. For example if you purchase 1 screen and 1 license and activate it and after some time you purchase additional screen and additional license, magicinfo will not let you introduce new license.
In this case you have to ask your license provider to make a "license merge" process.

Hi, there are some possible reasons:

- png files only works in premium mode
- jpg files work on lite and premium mode
- if Playlists are created as lite and the picture is png, it will not appear

Hi, in general, Screens very often show problems with web page with authentications. It is important to test and adapt web page.

The easy way is to use a GET method for authentication.

If the web page does not accept GET method, there is nothing you can do.

Hi, usually very dim screens is a hardware failure. You have to contact an authorized service center for diagnostics and repair.
If screen have less than 3 years, it is covered by the warranty
If screen have more than 3 years, buy new one.

Hi, go to MagicInfo Server -> Device -> Notifications. There you can see if there is some error, problems etc.
If there is no notifications and no errors, it is possible that you have a demo license that get expired.
In case that you use 7002 port as ppjin comented, for communication with new S7 and up, you need to replace TLS key file and modify setup file. It is not a user friendly procedure.
