Title: Error 1073 FTP upload
Post by: marcelh on May 24, 2016, 08:32:48 AM
Hi there,

our company uses magicinfo lite with several users ... but one workstation/user cannot upload content via ftp . The contentupload-javaapplet starts but fails to upload with error 1073. That seems to indicate that the traffic gets blocked.

This is what I tried:

1. I created an exception in Internet explorer to bypass our proxy
2. I disabled the proxy
3. I used a different browser
4. I reinstalled the Java plugin/reset all java settings/added the site to the secure java sites
5. I disabled the windows firewall
6. I checked that TCP-traffic is allowed on port 7001
7. I deleted the users profile and rebuilt it
8. I granted the user local admin rights

All those workarounds fail. The user in question always runs into error 1073. But wenn I log as windows(Domain)-administrator on that workstation, start the browser and logon as the user, I suddenly can upload.

That's the reason I rebuild the users profile from scratch ... but the ftp-transfer keeps failing.

Any idea is highly appreciated.

Thanks
Marcel
