Title: Screen gets "disabled" after being on for awhile
Post by: helpmeoutplz on March 03, 2011, 04:52:26 PM
Hey Everyone,

I'm in charge of a Magicinfo Pro screen and have run into some problems with it.

I was responsible for setting it up and am pretty sure that I did it all right.  I could upload content and it would display just fine, but this only ever lasted for a few days at a time.  I know that I was within the limit of the number of days that I could schedule from the scheduler so that isn't the problem.

After a while (usually a day or two) I always lose connection between the server and the screen.  I just end up with the "No Server" screen.  The only way I've found to fix this problem is to turn off the screen, power cycle it, and turn it back on.  It won't turn on again unless it is power cycled.

After the signal is lost I can still go thru all the other inputs and use them, its just the MagicInfo input that doesn't work.  The sever is always on and connected to the network so that shouldn't be a problem either.  Also the keyboard that is hooked up to it cannot get the screen out of display mode with Alt+F12.

It is set to display content from 6am -12m and then show the home screen between those times.

Any ideas on how to get this thing to work for more than 48 hours...I'd really like to set it and leave it rather than have to babysit a screen 24/7.

The screen timer itself is not the issue.  The screen stays on, it just has no connection with the server.  I have to turn it off to reset it.
