Title: Client sleeping

I have a screen in the foyer of our church which I manage from the AV desk,  Both are on the same ethernet network.  Every so often when I try to upload a new screen, I get a message saying "Not connected".  To solve this, I go to the foyer display, turn it off for a minute and then turn it back on.  Then it works.
Any ideas as to why the client loses this connection or how to fix it. 
I am running Magicinfo Pro 2507.0 (c) 2004 on the server.
I have had the system for probably 14 years and am delighted that it is still working perfectly apart from this problem.
