MagicInfo Lite and Power Point
« on: February 07, 2013, 07:27:17 PM »
We have a customer who wanted an inexpensive LFD to run directly from a USB drive.  We sold them a MD40B and they are running Power Point files by just plugging in the USB drive and letting it run.  The problem is they are somewhat disappointed in a couple of things that are either limitations of MagicInfo Lite or possibly Power Point settings.  First is that slide transitions don't occur on the LFD even though they are programmed into the .ppt file.  The other is having Power Point fill the entire LFD screen rather than just the center.  I think they would be OK with the unit if I could solve these two issues.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lite version does not support transition effects / animation or object hosted under the PPT file.

Is this base on experience only or is this documented somewhere?

Thanks for the reply.  You have confirmed what I suspected regarding the loss of functionality when running PowerPoint on MagicInfo Lite.  I have given the customer an option to upgrade.  The PowerPoint setting to get full screen was also helpful.  I hadn't found that setting before.
