Well, almost, the feed2js php script converts the rss feed into a javascript snippet that you insert into a web page of your own design that you host on a server.
When the web page is viewed in a browser (ultimately the one incorporated in magicinfo pro) the rss feed will now be displayed as if it is normal html text.
You then link to the web page you have created on your server from your magicinfo pro design and size the viewable web space in the design to your needs.
Once the magicinfo pro screen is published you will in effect have an rss feed updating as often as you like but in the exact format that you want it to display.
(You can also download and host the script on your own server if you have php but it's not a requirement as you can use a free third party host.)
To conclude, it gives you the control over the display and format/content of the feed that is simply not available in magicinfo pro
