Hi guys,

new to the forum, I have some sort of Magicinfo Knowledge by working with it for a year now.
While trying to create a new playlist for one specific screen and searching through the UI for quite some time, I clicked "Device Conversion" in the device List.

I OK'd this one:

Now the device doesn't appear anywhere in the device list. The device doesn't appear in "Unapproved" and when searching for the IP: No results

Because I did not have any Lite Licenses, I added the 25 free licenses. Same result unfortunately.

Any support would be greatly appreciated!

Hi rasmus,

i have magicinfo server v2, but had same experience, with my sbb i-player.
I needed to change its group, and unfotunatelly, maybe it is bug, i could do it anyway, so i needed to delete it and add it again in correct group.

Deletion worked perfectly
Then adding same as you - no device in unapproved list.

What I did and worked for me, the device in few minutes showed up in unapproved list:
- disable firewall (on server)
- restart it
- restart player
- wait

I am not sure if this was only coinsidence and you have bigger problem, by try it... And dont forget to check unapproved in list of that type of devices, that you need (lite, premium... )

Same thing on my 3106, after converting lite to s4 player, device had it's group reset to nothing and wouldn't work until I moved the device to a group, but it showed up fine under premium drop down in devices

Hi Rasmus,

Check your firewall settings, it could be that port 7002 and 7001 is blocking the communication between the screen and the server.
As mentioned before, try connection without your firewall.
