HDMI Source Position
« on: June 11, 2010, 01:36:25 AM »
I have a 570DXN-2 display.    I have a screen setup with images, internet weather, rss feed and wmv.  I have I have a streaming server with a set top box connecting via HDMI.  I have attempted to include a source area in the lower right hand corner of the screen but when I publish,  the source area appears near the center of the screen.  why is that?

Could this be some limitation of the video scaler used on this display?

Bill has mentioned this a couple of times but I am not sure if it was this model.

Yes, EricL is quite right. There is no PIP (Picture-In-Picture) on the 52 inch DXn model. Samsung has used two video scalers one is made by Gemini (high end with PIP) and all the DXn product range have this except the 52 inch, and the others more entry level products such as the MXn have Mstar which has no PIP function.

The current CXn-2 version has Gemini and that is why you can use the PIP for the Digital TV Tuner embedded on this product.

Rumour has it that Samsung now oly use Gemini - does anybody know about this and confirm it?
