Blanking the screen
« on: June 30, 2010, 07:32:42 PM »
I've got a schedule that plays a presentation between 6am and 5pm in our reception and wanted it to blank the screen while out of these hours.  I've created a screen call blankscreen and set the source to panel of.  The presentation stops at the right time but the panel doesn't go off it drops to the magicinfo scrolling world logo.

Am i doing something wrong or is there a better way of having a presentation play for a period of time and then the screen to blank when 'out of hours'

Thanks
Damian

You must be making something wrong. You need to create a blank template and in the background setting, you need to select SOURCE. Further down the list, select PANEL OFF (the default is PC) and must save it, e.g. PANELOFF. Then you have to schedule this soon after your schedule that has tghe PPT file, say from 1800 to 2400. Then you need to publish it. It should work.
