Videowall Content Not Displaying Across All The Screens
« on: April 13, 2011, 03:49:15 PM »
Hi there, hopefully someone can help??

4 Screens 2x2 Array - So far I have gotten the videowall to show the same item on each screen. The content is not divided or stretched across the screens. Just the same content on each screen.

Now when the content is stretched across the array/screens, it shows correctly on the MagicInfo-i server preview screen. But after creating the schedule and uploading to the screens, they still how the MagicInfo logo as if they never received the schedule.

Very strange....any ideas!!???

...Thanks for any help

    ,CHRIS :)

Hi Chris,

What is the version of Mii server and clients? Advanced or Standard?
What is the model name of the screens?
When you approve the screens in Mii server did you select the model from the list?
Also check if all screen are in the same subnet 255.255.255.0.
No firewalls between the screens?

Hello,
MagicInfo-i Standard version 1005.5 for Author, Server & Client.
Model: SyncMaster460UXn-2
All screens are approved with correct model.
All in the same subnet, even the server. 255.255.240.0...same gateway also.
No firewalls between the screens or server.

Separate regular content publishes to the screens just fine. Even a videowall with multi-mosaic set to 'Yes' (same full content on each screen), just the content trying to display across the 4-screen array fails as if the screens received no schedule.

I appreciate the help

I think it could be the issue with s/w, I was using quite old version of Mii Advanced 1004.1 for video wall and it was working fine.
I was using static ips like 192.168.1.1 for screens and subnet 255.255.255.0.

I think you can try latest Mii version which is 1013 and if it will not work old version 1004.
You try to ask samsung LFD  support [email protected] to provide s/w.
I am not sure if samsung will support Mii standard as it is end of life, but at lease you can get the latest version and may be old one which was working for me.

try to move all screen into 255.255.255.0 subnet, it looks s/w cannot calculate broadcasting in different from 255.255.255.0 subnet.

I think the problem here is that you have not segmented the screens into their positions. From what I understand, you are doing a 'broadcast' on all the screens, instead of segmented them to display part of their image. Is this the case?
