How to rotating images on a continual basis?
« on: December 01, 2009, 04:10:45 PM »
Hi everyone,

I'm hoping you might be able to help me with a really basic question! I've hunted through my training manual and still can't seem to find the answer. I'm trying to get the screen to cycle through several different screens, and repeat the process. I can only seem to get the images to rotate once, but then can't get it to repeat.

So I have several images all set up as different elements (Photo 1, Photo 2, Photo 3). Within each element I have gone in to the "Area" control and adjusted the Start and Stop Time. So photo 1 starts at 00.00.00 and stops at 00.00.20, photo 2 starts at 00.00.20 and stops at 00.00.40 etc. In the "Background" control I have also changed the Repeat option to Repeat, rather than Once in case this does anything!

Is this the best way to have a series of rotating images? I seriously can't see any other way of doing it (without creating a flash file that does it for me, and I'm not that technical sadly!).

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you add a photo, when selecting a photo file from your library, select all photo's that you want to rotate.

Under this, where it says "Time Interval" (On the screen property of the photo element), set how long you want each image to display.

You can also select an effect for rotating the images using the effect property.

Hope this helps and makes sense!  ;D

Liberty, you have described the best way to achieve this. Any template is made for 1 hour and you can have different layers of different content over a period of time. You can lock your frames and use different content each time for a period of time. I have set a menu system for our canteen and that works perfectly well fo us.

Have you tried to do this?
