Flakey connection to certain screens
«

Quite often a couple of our screens (tends to be the same ones) don't seem to be sending data back correctly to the server-the clock time doesn't update in the maintenance window and the timer is difficult to set remotely because it doesn't update the settings in the field. Any one have any ideas why these screens should do this but others plugged into the same network switch work perfectly 24/7?
Thanks.

Have you tried plugging the screen directly into the backbone? This problem could possibly be caused by the way a managed network switch has been configured leading to traffic being filtered/misdirected..

Tried your suggestion, thanks but doesn't seem to have made a difference-it's definitely the data becoming corrupted somehow when travelling either way-if we move the screen to a different location it seems to be ok-is there a network setting our comms guy should be looking at?
